Originals in this selection, Monotype, Material Acrylic, under 500 euro.
Quick color, one impression
In monotype, paint goes onto a smooth plate and is pressed onto paper, and the result exists only once. Acrylic monotypes for sale under 500 euro suit you if you want a sheet with spontaneous handwriting.
Acrylic dries fast, so printmakers work briskly or add a retarder to the paint. That often gives the sheets their drive: streaks, smears, and fine textures a brush alone would not make. With a retarder the paint stays open longer, while plenty of water produces delicate, almost watercolor-like zones.

The second pull
Sometimes a residue stays on the plate and yields a paler ghost print. It is a sheet in its own right, not a reprint, and shows the same movement more softly. Such versions are especially appealing in this price range. Over the years you can read from it how confidently someone handles the plate.
Notes for buying
Monotypes have no edition, so look for title, year, and a signature in the margin. Measure paper size and image area separately, since the plate mark usually leaves a border free. In daily life such sheets are pleasantly uncomplicated, because acrylic no longer smudges once dry.
