Structure that breathes
Abstraction at large scale turns photography into landscape without a place. You can find abstract ink photographs from 1,000 to 2,000 euro for sale if you are looking for a picture for the center of a wall.
The starting points of abstract ink work are textures like ice, concrete or water against the light. On a large sheet, fine patterns almost become landscapes, and the ink layers show nuances that a small print swallows.

Hanging it in the middle
A large abstract sheet can stand alone, for instance above a sofa, dining table or bed. Put the center of the picture at roughly eye level and leave room at the sides so it can spread out.
To check before buying
In the 1,000 to 2,000 euro tier, numbering, signature and precise details on ink and paper are expected. Ask whether a certificate of authenticity comes with it, and have the sheet dimensions including margin spelled out. An abstract sheet of this size also combines well with plain furniture that does not disturb its structure.
