Contrast as a design principle
In black and white the graphic is driven to the extreme: silhouettes, grids, typography in contrast. Black-and-white photography in the graphic style is for sale, and often under 500 euro.
Without color, only light and dark carry the picture. A lettering, a zebra crossing or the shadow of a fence becomes a composition of black and white surfaces. It recalls woodcuts and poster printing. Tight crops with lettering or signs gain a stern, almost printed look in black and white.

Black and white for a whole wall
Several motifs in the same format make a row that creates order. In an office or stairwell especially, they work like a rhythm. Avoid frames with ornament, simple strips are enough.
Depth of print and paper
Pure black areas show differences in printing: matte looks soft, baryta deep. A look at photo paper and the margin design helps with the choice. A sentence on edition size in the description is a good sign.
