Old order, new ground
Classically painted means balanced composition, chiaroscuro, figure or landscape in calm order. If you want classical paintings with natural stone for sale under 500 euro, you find a support that joins old painting tradition with raw nature.
Since the Renaissance, pictures have been composed on panels and wall surfaces. Natural stone picks up that thread, since slate and marble were painted early on. The painting tradition shows in perspective, modeling and glazing, the stone in tone and feel.

A calm effect
Classical motifs are easy to integrate at home. A small landscape on stone suits a desk, a still life the dining area. Dimmed light brings depth, harsh spots wipe it out.
What matters
The description should say whether the stone is treated or sealed. Edges may stay slightly rough. You should also know the weight before you set the hook. Selection in this segment can be narrowed by format and motif. Small portraits and landscapes look most convincing on stone, because the grain does not cover fine transitions.
