Surface with depth
Modern painting in oil on canvas feels warm and concentrated: color areas with light modulation, a brushstroke that keeps calm. Anyone who wants modern oil paintings on canvas for sale finds works that combine reduction with body.
On canvas, oil paint settles in fine layers one over the other. That gives even a single-color field a living skin: edges tremble slightly, tones drift. That separates a painted picture from a surface that is merely printed.

Calm in the room
Such pictures work in living and working spaces where you want to settle down. Natural light shows the modulation, artificial light should not glare. They suit wood, linen and subdued colors around them.
Before buying
Ask about ground, varnish and drying. Large fields of color can show cracks if layers dried too fast, so the time of creation is interesting. Size, edges and the back give additional information. Against dust, an occasional dry wipe with a soft cloth is recommended.
