Reduction under glass
Modern in a resin picture means clear fields, few tones and a surface that smooths every edge. If you want modern paintings with resin for sale, you get works that feel like frozen movement.
Modern painting likes to leave out narrative. Resin suits that, because it holds color in one moment: a swirl in petrol blue, a strip of gold, a zone of almost black depth. The glassy finish stresses the reduction rather than disturbing it.

At home in living space
Such pictures belong in rooms with clean lines: glass, steel, pale woods, exposed concrete. They work as a single large field or as a calm row side by side. White light shows the tones neutrally, warm light deepens them.
What you should clarify
Resin surfaces scratch if cleaned the wrong way. Ask how the piece is sealed, and later wipe only with a microfiber cloth, dry or slightly damp.
