Two materials, one surface
Acrylic on canvas gives modern painting surface and substance, while ink adds line and shadow. Here you can browse modern acrylic-and-ink pictures for sale that are cleanly composed and carry as well from a distance as up close.
Acrylic dries fast and forms a stable ground on which ink stays put when it is placed on purpose. That produces shifts between matte and gloss, dense and translucent. Modernism loves such contrasts, because they work without a motif.

Hanging and care
A canvas in a living space needs protection from dust and from direct sun. Check whether the edges are painted all around, since then the picture can hang without a frame. A floater frame in pale wood is a quiet alternative.
Effect depending on light
Matte acrylic areas and glossy ink respond differently to light. In raking light the differences grow large, in diffuse daylight they merge. Before buying, hold a photo of the picture up to the planned wall and check which mood you prefer.
