Opaque, then drawn
Acrylic and pencil share a picture, and the lead holds its own on the paint as dark silver. You can find acrylic paintings with pencil from 500 to 1,000 euro for sale here if you want a picture that shows layers rather than smoothness.
On dry acrylic, pencil allows precise reworking: sharpening contours, scratching in patterns, setting notes. In reverse, thin paint can leave drawings visible beneath it. The glossy graphite traces change with the viewer’s position.

Mid-size formats
In the middle price tier, panels, board and paper on support are familiar. Ask whether the drawing has been protected with a varnish, and request the weight if the piece is mounted on wood. A floater frame completes panel pictures without glass.
With varnish or without
A thin matte varnish protects the drawing on acrylic from abrasion. Without it, the picture is better off behind glass. Both approaches are common. What matters is that the description states which was chosen, so you can match frame and location.
