A weave that carries along

Measure and edge
Gestural pictures often run past the edge. Runs and drips continue on the sides, or the edge stays unpainted and shows the ground. Both are intended. The description should say whether framing is planned.
Hanging with depth
With heavy paint application, a stretcher with a crossbar and a two-hook hanging is worthwhile. That keeps the picture stable even if the paint lies thick. Choose a spot without drafts and without a radiator directly beneath.
