Layer by layer
Classical composition on canvas: the weave carries glazes that recall the painting of old masters without their long drying times. Anyone who appreciates balanced pictures with a calm effect will find classical acrylic pictures on canvas for sale worth a look.
Classical painting works from dark to light. On a canvas, depth and plasticity arise through thin glazes lying on top of each other. Acrylic makes this build flexible, since layers dry fast and are easy to correct.

The frame as part of the picture
For classical motifs the frame belongs to the effect. A profiled wooden frame, a gold rod or a plain walnut molding suit still lifes, portraits and landscapes. Ask whether the picture is delivered framed or a frame is intended.
Light and space
Classical paintings show their subtleties in subdued, even light. A small picture lamp or a spot beside the window with indirect daylight is ideal. Avoid harsh spots, which create glare and make glazes look flat.
