Two oil media, one scene

To check
Ask how long the oil layer had dried before the chalk was applied and whether a varnish has been added. Oil pastel stays soft, so the picture should not hang unprotected where it will be touched.
In the living space
Surreal oil pictures need subdued light and a calm environment. A deep, dark frame strengthens the effect of the scene. Above a sofa or in a reading room the picture has space to show new details over time.
