What this price range suggests
With paintings that include found objects, what counts is how convincingly the object and the painting come together. Anyone looking at paintings with found objects from 2,000 to 5,000 euro for sale should look at works with scale and craftsmanship.
Between 2,000 and 5,000 euro, originals commonly bring larger formats, elaborately built reliefs and experienced artists. Assemblages involve a lot of planning: how is a heavy object fixed for good, and how does the material respond to light and time?

Attachment and durability
Ask how the parts are mounted: bolted, riveted, glued with resin? Good works are built so that nothing wobbles. With organic finds such as wood or paper it matters that they have been treated. Ask about total weight as well.
Wall space and light
Relief-like pictures cast shadows. With light from the side or from above the sculptural quality emerges, while flat frontal light makes it unremarkable. Plan enough wall space so that protruding parts do not bump into anything and the piece can breathe.
