Marker over an acrylic ground
Markers over acrylic and canvas join drawing and painting in one format. Acrylic on canvas paintings with marker for sale in the range of 500 to 1,000 euro come in solid medium sizes.
On an acrylic ground, marker lines sit strongly and cleanly. Acrylic markers are especially practical here, since they adhere to the dry paint layer and can be painted over. Alcohol ink, by contrast, tends to sink into the surface and needs an absorbent ground. On canvas the weave also stays visible, and the ink catches slightly in it. That can produce a fine grain that does not appear on paper. Check in detail photos how evenly the color sits at such spots.

Format and frame
Medium sized canvases, as is usual at this price level, hang well alone or as a pair. A shadow gap makes the picture float; if you frame it closed, look for UV protection.
What to look for in the description
Information on marker type, varnish and fixative shows how durable the picture is meant to be. A note on painted edges also helps if the picture is to go on the wall without a frame.
