Still scenes, soft chalk
Metaphysical painting shows empty squares, long shadows and things standing in a strange calm. Paintings in the metaphysical style with oil pastel from 500 to 1,000 euro are for sale here, with quiet color planes and clear shadows.
Oil pastel suits large, quiet color zones: a yellow sky, a red-brown ground, a blue shadow. The chalk can be rubbed to smooth planes, yet in some places left grainy. A scene results that feels frozen.

With originals, medium formats are usual here, often on board or primed canvas. Ask about support and priming, since empty planes show every irregularity. A frame with a wide mat strengthens the sense of distance in the picture.
Hanging and viewing
Metaphysical pictures work in tidy rooms where wall and furniture leave space. A chair at a fitting distance makes lingering easy. Soft light from the side keeps shadows visible and colors calm.
