Formats from 80 x 80 to 80 x 100 cm.

Crop and intervention

Modern photography asks about crop, space and surface, and with overpainting it becomes a genre of its own. You can find modern mixed media with photo for sale here from 1,000 to 2,000 euro if you like reduced imagery with hands-on intervention.

The modern photo often shows architecture, surface or structure. Over it lie thin bands of color, lines or glued papers that conceal a part. What is left out gives the picture its tension. Typical are architectures, lines and planes reorganized by paint or paper. The photo supplies precision, the intervention a decision: together they create a clarity that neither technique reaches alone.

Band and format

Between these amounts, originals commonly come in medium and larger formats with good support materials. When choosing, look for a note on whether the photo is part of an edition or one of a kind.

Framing and light

Plain frames in white, black or oak fit. Anti-reflective glass pays off with smooth surfaces. Side light shows where paint was applied, while frontal light flattens surfaces.
