Paper as a stage for signs
Graphics, illustration and lettering find their natural place on paper. Graphic mixed-media works on paper for sale under 500 euro show signs, patterns and letters as picture material.
Illustrative sheets live on contrast and clarity. On smooth paper India ink draws sharp lines, on rough paper soft, grainy edges appear. Typographic elements are drawn, stamped or collaged. The sheet thus reads like a page from an imaginary book.

Series and walls
Graphic sheets work superbly in groups. Two or four sheets of the same size side by side make a pattern. Plan the row beforehand on the wall with paper templates, and you will see how much space it needs.
Original, not print
Graphic motifs are often reproduced. In the description, look for a note that it is a single piece, and for the artist’s signature or stamp. In the original you see irregularities in line and plane that a print smooths out. Under 500 euro this is a good way to collect originals.
