Setting glints
Impressionism in pure mixed media technique works with shimmer, layers and metallic gloss. You can find impressionist mixed media works for sale here, with metal and often between 1,000 and 2,000 euro.
A fragment of metal leaf, a breath of mother-of-pearl pigment, a leftover of translucent paper: from small glints the atmosphere builds up. The technique imitates how light breaks on water and uses real materials to do it.

Consider the location
The effect depends strongly on how light falls. Test beforehand where daylight runs most beautifully across the wall. In rooms with a lot of sun, UV-protective glass helps preserve pigments and paper over the long term.
Details in the description
Metal can tarnish if it was not sealed. Ask about protective lacquer and care advice. Also look at the material details of the papers and whether the work is delivered framed. The wall location decides a lot: a picture that glimmers golden in the morning can look cool in the evening, and that very change is part of its appeal.
