Shimmer from layers
Pure mixed media in an impressionist spirit combines paint, paper, metal and texture into shimmering surfaces. You can buy impressionist works of this kind for sale from 1,000 to 2,000 euro here without being tied to a single genre.
Because mixed media is not bound to one technique, the flicker of light can be built in different ways: with threads, with glued parchment paper, with pigment dust. This yields a very particular light that neither painting nor collage alone produces.

Placing it at home
Impressionist moods suit living rooms, dining areas and hallways with daylight. Since the effect depends on viewing distance, a wall with no furniture right in front is ideal so you can step back a few paces.

With combined materials in particular, details on support, binder and protective layer matter. Ask how the work should be transported and hung, and whether a frame or shadow gap is intended.
