The collage style uses existing images and materials, cuts them from their context and arranges them anew. In doing so, meanings arise that none of the single parts had alone. Mixed media widens the repertoire with paint, drawing and texture.

Spatial effect
Collages work through overlaps and edges. Textiles in particular cast small shadows and give the surface body. Hang such pieces where daylight enters from the side, and layers and folds stand out sculpturally.
Mind the quality
With gluing and sewing techniques, the durability of the joint is decisive. Ask about material and fixing. In the segment between 2,000 and 5,000 euro you will find larger works with dense layering. If you like collage, you often enjoy the thrill of discovery: on the second and third look, details turn up that were hidden under another layer before.
