Edge, stain, gradient
Abstract ink works detach from the object and let flow, edge and color field speak. Abstract mixed-media ink works for sale at 1,000 to 2,000 euro offer compositions of movement and plane.
In abstract ink painting the material shows what it can do: it forms edges where it dries and clouds where it runs into wet. Acrylic or chalk set firm marks against it. The tension between chance and control gives such pictures their liveliness.

Size and weight in a room
At 1,000 to 2,000 euro abstract ink works are often considerably bigger than sketch sheets. They carry a whole wall and tolerate strong frames. Hang the piece on a surface with little other decoration so ink gradients and edges can work freely.
What to ask
Important are details on paper or canvas, fixing of the ink and protection. Ask about the lightfastness of the inks used and about the type of framing. UV-protective glass is a sensible care measure for larger paper works, though not a must.
