Believable and baffling
Surreal drawings show the impossible with a sure line: stairs into nothing, eyes in foliage, hands of mist. Surreal mixed media drawings under 500 euro are for sale if you want to read dream pictures with precision.
The more exact the drawing, the stronger the contrast to the unreal. Hatching shapes bodies, lines pull perspectives, and in the middle of the picture sits a detail that does not belong. Mixed media brings in watercolor haze or paper fields as a second tone.

Under 500 euro
At this level small to medium sheets are usual, often in rows. Combining several drawings gives a sequence of scenes that feels like a dream diary. Matching frames bring calm, the eye looks for links between the motifs.
Protect the paper
Drawings belong behind glass, ideally with an acid-free mat, and out of the sun. Ask about paper type, signature and fixative. With little effort a sheet stays fresh for many years, especially when it lies flat and does not stick to the glass.
