Line with room to move
The pencil draws thinking along with it, from the first idea to the matured study. Mixed-media drawings in pencil for sale are sheets where line, hatching and a touch of additional material work together.
Unlike ink, pencil allows correction: you can erase, draw over, smudge. That flexibility shows in the sheets. Lines start, wander, thicken. In mixed techniques colored pencil, charcoal or watercolor join, emphasizing parts of the sheet and leaving others restrained.

Paper and fixing
The tooth of the paper determines how much graphite stays. Rougher sheets carry rich blacks, smooth papers fine detail. Fixative stabilizes but can slightly change the tone. Framed behind glass the drawing is safest, and the distance from a mat protects against abrasion.
