Painting with edges
Color fields, brushwork and paper collage complement each other in modern painting on paper. Modern mixed media painting on paper is for sale here when you want a hand somewhere between construction and feeling.
Modern painting likes to skip perspective and cast shadows and works with planes. On paper the colors feel open and light, transitions between gouache and watercolor stay soft, and glued elements add hard edges.

On the wall
A sheet like this tolerates neutral surroundings, a white wall or pale wood. Hang it away from radiators and windows, since heat and light both work on paper. A mat of museum board preserves the freshness of the colors. Another advantage of paper is that it is easy to swap. If you like rearranging, you can rotate the piece with others without punching new holes in the wall. A standard frame size makes the exchange effortless.
Buying note
In the listing, look for which paints were used and whether the work is varnished or fixed. Both shape its care and framing.
