Between sketch and fully worked sheet sits a price level where pen and ink take center stage. You can find mixed media pen and ink for sale from 500 to 1,000 euro, often as medium to large works on paper with a clear handwriting.
At this level, originals usually show more execution: larger sheets, more time per square inch, denser hatching. Ink meets watercolor, gouache or collage and often becomes the scaffold that the color follows. You can see where the nib hesitated and where it decided.

Frames and wall planning
A bigger sheet deserves a frame that supports it: wood or slim metal, a white or natural mat, glass with UV protection. Plan the wall around the paper plus mat, rather than the sheet size alone. Ask about paper weight, since heavy handmade paper carries ink and moisture more safely than thin stock.

With sheets of this size, the signature and the details about technique deserve a look. If the ink was combined with watercolor, the description says so. Framed sheets stay flat longer when you store them upright and do not stack them.
