Pigment as fine as skin
When pastel looks like photography, a lot of calm is involved: the hand has to grade color in the smallest steps. Photorealistic pastel drawings for sale are listed under pastel or in the tier 1,000 to 2,000 euro.
Pastel consists of ground pigments whose fine grain can be rubbed into smooth gradations. That is exactly what photorealism needs: cheeks, water surfaces, metallic sheen, where no stroke may stand out.

Check it up close
Get close if the listing lets you enlarge images: under zoom you can tell whether transitions are clean and the paper evenly covered. Edges should also be set calmly.
Keeping it at home
The sheet belongs in a frame with glass that keeps pastel dust off the surface. Leave a gap between paper and pane and avoid spots with condensation, such as bathrooms. A photorealistic pastel convinces when surfaces stay believable: skin breathes, glass reflects, fabric falls. Test that at light-dark edges, where mistakes show fastest.
