THE DIALOGUE explores a relationship between our identity and the field of information that constantly surrounds us.
Our reality is formed and shifted through words, symbols, cultural contexts and the informational storm coming from various sources. Our consciousness continuously filters this flow, deciding what to accept, or reject, according to our existing perceptions, experiences, and beliefs. In this ongoing dialogue, our identity is being shaped, transformed, and redefined. What we choose to absorb becomes part of the complex fabric of who we are.
Inspired by Jacques Derrida’s proposition, *il n’y a pas de hors-texte*. Our access to truth is never immediate, it is always mediated by words, symbols, concepts, and cultural contexts. From the constructed nature of news and post-truth narratives to AI models, the production of meaning reveals itself as a continuous interplay of signs. The reality is not merely described by words, but exists within them. Young Colombina (a repeated character in my artworks) is painted on and facing book pages. Her faint halo suggests an elevated intention,. The figure is incomplete, as it still in the process of forming itself. Her scissors is tool to select parts of the text she wants to keep as a part of herself.
