Subtitle

Where earth meets sky, and the night feels full of wonder.

Original artwork description

St Michael’s Tower rises from the ancient landscape of Glastonbury Tor like a quiet sentinel between earth and sky.

For centuries this hill has drawn people to its summit — a place steeped in myth, legend, and spiritual history. Standing beside the tower and looking out across the Somerset Levels, there is a feeling that this landscape holds stories far older than the paths we walk today.

In this piece, the tower stands steady beneath a swirling night sky alive with stars, moonlight, and movement. The flowing colours echo the energy and mystery that many people feel when they visit the Tor — a place where the boundaries between land, sky, history and imagination seem to blur.

I created this artwork to capture that sense of wonder.

It speaks to those moments when you stand somewhere special and feel both small and deeply connected at the same time.

St Michael’s brings the magic, history and mystery of Glastonbury Tor into the home — a reminder that some places hold stories written in the stars.
