When I travel, I always try to fit my pochade box in my suitcase. It allows me to carry my paints, brushes, and boards with me and set up a painting station wherever I go. This landscape was painted during a trip to visit my family in Australia. The view is of Bushrangers Bay, a picturesque cove where snorkelers come to observe sharks (the friendly kind). The light shifted throughout the day so I was able to capture the sunlit turquoise hues of the trees echoing in the water.
