Silvara opens up a cooler space within the Sediment series. Shades of green and blue permeate the surface like layers of moving air, like water in suspension. Nothing is clearly defined; everything seems to be in transition.
The warm, earthy elements are at the center, but at the same time they are not. Like an unclear state of limbo, they appear as fragile settlements in the flow of an atmospheric depth. Vertical forms cut through the soft environment, pause briefly, then dissolve again. Graphite, stain, Chinese ink—an interplay of transparency and intervention.
Silvara is a moment between grounding and dissolution.
A quiet counterpoint to the “heat” of the other works, permeable, floating, and open.
The title is free, without explanatory reference. Each work is unique.
