The seed for this print was planted on vacation, driving through Oregon en route to California.
At highway speed the scenery seemed like ribbons colour: the blue of the sky, the pale gold of the sun-bleached grass cut through by a belt of green, and then the deeper gold of more, and longer, dried grass.
My sketchbook on road-shook knees, I jotted down a quick image and made some notes. And that’s where this print was born.
