Manawa is one of the seven principles of life according to Hawaïan Huna. It means 'now is the moment of power'. To me it reminds me of all the moments in my life where I realised I had to act or speak my truth in order to affirm and ground the essence of my being. Sometimes there is only a brief moment, a small window of opportunity where one shouldn't be held back by doubt.
The base of the painting has a black gesso layer which gives a deep and mysterious feel to it.
The sides of the painting are black. The painting is varnished, ready to hang and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
