The work shows a group of children engaged in collecting shoes without laces, in large heaps in the middle of a field without trees. The painting is part of the pictorial cycle in progress Work which deals with the themes of work in a social sense.
The work is done with the oil painting technique, mixing raw pigments with linseed oil.
