Where paths lead past old gardens and thatched houses, winding along the mudflats, bathed in the golden light of the sunset.
This abstract painting translates a possible memory of this place into a contemporary language of shapes, colors, and hints. Lines and surfaces meet, cross, and interpenetrate like traces left by wind and time in the sand. Dark shapes keep the composition in balance, while light areas bring movement and lightness.
The color tones of green, orange, and black seem to come from both the earth and the sky, embodying the tranquility and impermanence of the north.
