Opening and surface
Abstract stone lives from what was taken away and what was left standing. Abstract stone sculptures for sale between 2,000 and 5,000 euro come in marble, natural stone and other rocks, with surface and weight taken seriously.
A hole in stone changes everything: light passes through, the eye follows the opening, and the mass suddenly feels lighter. Winding cuts or a single polished plane in a rough block also give an abstract piece instant contour. With marble, the veining adds its own drawing.

Placement and lighting
Stone forms need quiet around them. A directed spot turns polished planes into highlights, indirect light calms the overall impression. Plinths of wood or concrete supply the height a sculpture needs so it does not disappear among furniture.
Questions before buying
How heavy is the stone, how was it treated, which type of rock is it? Chipped spots or repairs should be noted too. A natural stone gains from knowing where it came from.
