Request details on stone type, region of origin and surface treatment. Notes on doweling and weight help. If you know your floor, you also know whether it will carry the piece. Have the care explained as well: soft cloth, no dish soap, no acid. If the work goes into a room with a wooden floor, plan a base that spreads the weight over several boards.
