Shapes that are cut
An abstract linocut forgoes objects and lets cut, area, and contrast speak. Abstract linocuts for sale are collected here, with tension that comes from a few clearly placed shapes.
When grooves, bars, and blotches form the picture, every decision of the knife counts. Long cuts set rhythm, short ones grain, broad areas left standing weight. Some sheets feel stern, others nearly musical. If you want more warmth, choose sheets in earth tones or blue; if you appreciate severity, stay with black.

Black and color in the room
Abstract linocuts with their contrast also register over greater distance. Above a dining table or in a stairwell they stand out without getting loud. White frames lift the black, black ones make it denser. Because every cut is final, the composition often has something decisive.
Narrowing and comparing
If you set your budget first, look at work under 500 euro. Compare editions: among impressions from the same block, blackness and embossing can vary, which belongs to the character of hand-printed sheets. Notes on paper, edition, and signature can be found in the work description and at the sheet edge.
