Pigments instead of screens
Giclée on paper stands for precise reproduction: soft gradients, deep colors, fine detail. Giclée prints are for sale already under 500 euro, also as comic motifs.
Giclée is an inkjet process with pigment inks on fine art paper. The droplets are so fine that hardly any screen dots show. The result recalls paintings and photographs but remains a printed sheet. That makes the process suited to motifs with delicate color gradients that classical hand printing could reach only with great effort.

Framing it harmoniously
A giclée takes a mat and frame like any other paper print. Choose UV-protective glass and do not hang the sheet in direct sunlight. On matte paper colors look soft, on glossy paper brilliant.
Original or reproduction
A giclée can be the reproduction of a painting or a digitally created original. The description should say which, along with edition, numbering and signature. Ask about paper and size before you decide.
