Marker as a trace of movement
With no subject and no model, the line alone carries the picture: abstract works in marker on acrylic and canvas live from rhythm and density. If you want to buy such abstract paintings, take time with the stroke and the sequence of colors. They are paintings for sale you can study closely.
On dry acrylic, markers leave movements visible, from a hasty zigzag to a carefully drawn net. Because acrylic markers are opaque, light lines can run over dark planes, and the ground can be reset in several rounds. That gives abstract compositions a clear structure of layers. When many lines cross every which way, the balance of colors decides the effect. Two dominant tones and one accent often work better than a colorful abundance. Check whether the picture stays calm from a distance too.

A picture that talks to the room
Abstract canvases give a room direction. Horizontal sequences of strokes calm things down, diagonals add tension. A format hung above eye level, with a little room on both sides, has the strongest effect.
Before you buy
Note the dimensions and the depth of the stretcher bar, and ask about varnish or UV protection, as not all marker colors are equally lightfast.
