Lines under veils
A watercolor with pencil in a surreal mood feels like the memory of a dream that is just fading. You can find surreal watercolors with pencil for sale here if you love delicacy and riddles.
First comes the drawing in precise pencil, then washes settle over it, veiling some parts and stressing others. Scenes seem to dissolve, figures change size. The paper stays lightly translucent, which gives the picture weightlessness.

Quiet colors, calm light
Such sheets need rooms with subdued light and calm walls. A hallway, reading corner or bedroom suits them, while kitchens and bathrooms are too damp. UV-protective glass preserves the delicate tones.
Asking for details
Ask which paper was used and whether the drawing was fixed before the color was applied. This determines how stable the sheet is. Framing with acid-free board and a gap to the glass is advisable. A discreet hanger at the back and a flexible clip frame make it easier to present the drawing differently later.
