Transparency without corrections
Watercolor and ink forgive no second attempts, which is what makes photorealistic work in this pairing so demanding. If you want to buy a photorealistic watercolor in ink, look for sheets where every wash sits cleanly, and browse them here as watercolors for sale.
Ink in a watercolor stays see-through, so each layer glows through the next. Skin, glass or water reflections come from many thin washes laid wet into wet or dry over dry. White is not a paint here, it is the bare paper, and saving it takes planning from the very first minute.

Paper, glass and distance
Do not hang these sheets beside a window with strong southern light. An acid-free mat keeps the paper off the glass, and a wide margin lets the motif breathe. Check the listing for paper type, weight and size, because in watercolor the paper carries the picture.
A short checklist
Ask about paper weight, since heavy watercolor sheets stay flat even after many washes. Look for notes on a signature near the edge and on whether the sheet is described as unframed or already under glass. That way you can plan the framing costs right away.
