Supports with effect
Oil gives cubism the body it needs, whether on canvas, wood or board: paint can be sharply delimited and still blended softly. Cubist oil paintings for sale between 5,000 and 10,000 euro reward a joint look at support, edge handling and color depth.
On wood cubist planes look smoother and harder, on board rougher, on canvas more elastic. The choice influences how sharp the edges stand and how much texture remains in the picture. Color transitions and edge sharpness can be dosed so finely in oil that planes look cut at one point, brushed at another.

Dismantled things, clear order
Cubist paintings often follow a scaffold of diagonals and arcs. Whoever sees it reads the picture like a score. The emphasis shifts with the viewing angle, so something new catches the eye even after years.
For the wall and daily life
Hang oil pictures on interior walls, away from heating. Ask about varnish and care, and request photos of the back so you can judge hanging and condition. Factor in weight for wood panels and glass for board, since both change framing and hanging.
