Brush and chalk in dialogue

Acrylic lays out color fields that dry quickly. Above them the oil pastel draws lines, hatching and accents that feel softer and warmer than the brush stroke. Where the two meet, edges arise in which gloss and mattness stand side by side.

Order as a basic rule
Oil pastel may go on acrylic, but not the other way round. That makes the layer order important in mixed pictures. Ask about it if the description does not name it. It determines how stable the picture stays and how it should be cared for.
