The city as a material store
Urban and Pop with collage relies on found pieces from the city: poster remnants, magazine pages, tickets, packaging. People who take traces of everyday life seriously in pictures look at urban acrylic collages on canvas for sale.
Torn posters, packaging and newspaper edges become building blocks. Acrylic gel and paint bind them in and put them into new contexts. Parts of lettering often stay legible and give the picture hints about its origin.

Layers and edges
How cleanly paper is bonded decides durability. Lifted corners or air bubbles speak against care. Detail photos in raking light give information. A final varnish keeps the layers together and protects the colors of the found pieces.
Effect on the wall
Urban collages are visually dense and therefore good solo pieces. Do not hang them too close to other pictures. A yard of free wall is often enough for layers and contrasts to stand on their own. A light background and directed light bring out the relief.
