Riddles in lines
Ink traces, dream figures and marker that places lines like a scalpel: that is how surrealism takes shape in mixed technique. Surrealist mixed media works with marker are for sale in this price band for those who enjoy detailed picture puzzles.
Markers combine fine detail with strong contrast. A figure with too many eyes, an architecture merging into clouds, a shadow that does not belong to the body: the eye follows the lines like a thread. Collage and watercolor add atmosphere. If you compare several surreal sheets, it helps to look at the consistency of the world: does the dream logic follow rules of its own? Then a picture feels coherent even if nothing in it resembles reality.

Room for stillness
Surreal sheets benefit from calm walls and softened light. A dark frame strengthens depth, a light mat lets the lines breathe. Hang the work where you like to spend longer stretches of time.
Check and ask
With detailed marker works, a look at fixing and paper type is worthwhile. High lightfastness is rare, so UV protection and shade are called for.
