Signs in graphite
Pencil in a graphic, illustrative style can be delicate yet distinctive: contours, grids, lettering. Graphic pencil works in mixed media for sale are sheets that speak a sign language of their own.
Graphic work operates with repetition, grids and clean edges. Drawn with a ruler or freehand, the pencil brings a restraint that ink does not have. Typographic elements then appear like notes that structure the picture plane.

Interplay with color
Mixed media allows graphite drawings to be joined with areas of acrylic, gouache or paper. The color provides weight, the pencil the scaffold. That yields pictures that recall a draft and a poster at once.
Protection and frame
Because graphite is soft, make sure the sheet is framed behind glass. A flat profile in black suits graphic motifs. If you group several sheets, keep the frame width the same and the spacing even.
