Originals in this selection, Expressive and gestural, Material Acrylic, under 500 euro.
Movement on the surface
Brush traces you can follow, scratches, drips and fast gradients: gestural art shows how a movement feels. Expressive mixed media works with acrylic are for sale in this price band when energy matters more than polish.
Acrylic allows speed: wide brushes, palette knife, spray bottle, a charcoal stick over the top. Since the paint dries in minutes, traces stay put and look like frozen actions. A collage in between breaks the rhythm. Then there are the small stories in the picture: a splash of color beside a calm area, a scratch merging into a brushstroke. Gestural works tell of the pace of their making, and that is often what draws viewers most.

Room for energy
Gestural sheets look strong from a distance, especially with free wall space around them. Frame simply, perhaps with a shadow gap, and hang the work where people can approach it.
Before buying
Look for dimensions with and without the frame and for notes on storage. Thick paint layers need room in the frame. At this level spacers and a closed frame back are worthwhile.
