Drawing and washing
Drawing-based mixed media with watercolor are often small worlds on a sheet: lines lead the eye, color suggests spaces. You can find mixed media drawings with watercolor for sale under 500 euro if you are looking for originals on paper as a starting point.
The combination of drawing and watercolor is old and proven: the stroke fixes the structure, the water fills it with color. Collage, wax or charcoal add further layers today. Drawing determines the structure here: first the line is there, then comes color, or the color lies over it like a veil. Both stay delicate as long as the paper is not overloaded, and that gives the sheets their openness.

Under 500 euro, originals often include works on paper and small to medium formats. Drawn sheets fit this frame well, because paper takes little space and is easy to store.
Storing and showing
If you do not want to hang every sheet, you can keep them in a folder of acid-free board and rotate them. In a frame the sheet lies flat behind glass with a gap. That keeps it fresh for years.
