Painting with a catch
Painted and attached: brushstrokes and found pieces meet on the same surface. You can find paintings with found objects for sale under 500 euro if you love painting that has a piece of reality built in.
An attached part acts in a painting like a foreign body that grounds the paint. Color flows around it, shadows fall. A picture results that hovers between painting and object. On board, wood or canvas, the painting depicts what surrounds or extends the found piece: a shadow, a line, a landscape. The brush gives the object a place, and conversely the object makes the painting tangible.

Checking and hanging
Look at adhesion, weight and hanging. A heavier object needs a reinforced support. Ask for side-view photos and have the fastening described to you.
