I work with simplicity pushed to its limit, exploring the expressive possibilities of line, form, colour and space. My work begins with visual inquiry rather than a narrative or symbolic meaning. I am interested in how these elements interact and communicate through their relationships. Each painting asks what new possibilities can emerge within a deliberately limited visual language.
I work primarily with acrylic on canvas. I develop each composition by reducing it to its essential elements and adjusting their relationships until they form a coherent whole. Minimalism is my method of investigation: removing distractions allows me to focus on the role of each element. Through new forms, colour relationships and spatial arrangements, I gradually expand the possibilities of my visual language.
My practice centres on how much a single line can express and how it can define an entire composition. Line and the surrounding space are equally important: their relationship gives each work its character. I seek strength, beauty and harmony through minimal means, leaving the work open to interpretation. Meaning emerges through the viewer’s direct encounter with form, rather than through a prescribed explanation.
