I paint what stays within me: the memory of light, the movement of nature, the emotional trace of a place.
My work moves between semi-abstract floral and landscape painting, explorations of water, light and reflection, and abstract compositions. I work primarily in oil, often combined with acrylic in richly layered mixed-media works. Watercolor and pastel also form part of my wider artistic practice.
I am interested in the emotional presence of nature: the way color, light and movement can hold memory, atmosphere and inner experience. Through saturated color, layered textures and expressive brushwork, I transform recognizable natural forms into intuitive, emotional images.
My background in engineering, interior design and landscape design continues to shape the way I think about composition, structure and the relationship between an artwork and the space around it.
Nature, travel and the changing character of different places are important sources of inspiration in my work. Mediterranean light, gardens, water, flowers and landscapes all become starting points for paintings that are not only about what I see, but about what a place makes me feel.
